Word processing and templates
There is a function in Socrates that allows you to create a word or PDF document from any of the fields or score results that have been entered into the patient record in Socrates. This report can then be copied and pasted, or exported as a document to any EMR or other record.
This is a two-step process: the first step is to create what we call a template, which is a type of macro, which will include all the fields and data that you want to include in the report. The next stage is then to select that template and auto-populate the data from the individual patient record. Many of our users have set up their own templates for their operation reports for example, and we have quite a number in-house. Over time we will add these to the website with an explanation of what they are so that other users can download them and modify them as required.
This link takes you to an example of a spine patient medical history, which was auto-populated from the data that the patient entered on line regarding their medical and spinal condition, as well as the results from their scores.
