27/02/2020 11:15am AEST Update: We have identified the issue and are working towards a global fix. The problem has been caused by an issue with the SSL Certificate Provided by our vendor.
The certificate is required to ensure secure communication between your SOCRATES instance and the Webscores server. Without a valid certificate i.e a secure connection, the webscores service will not send information over the internet.
We will update you once the issue has been resolved.
WE ARE AWARE OF A CURRENT ISSUE WITH WEBSCORES AND ARE CURRENTLY INVESTIGATING.
The error will show:
Exception: javax.net.ssl.SSLHandshakeException: sun.security.validator.ValidatorException: PKIX path building failed: sun.security.provider.certpath.SunCertPathBuilderException: unable to find valid certification path to requested target
This issue will result in clients not being able to collect outcomes surveys and scores directly from their patients via an email link, or in the clinic with the data input online by the patients themselves.
We apologise for this and are working towards a resolution. Updates will be posted here as they become available.
If you have other support requests, please create a ticket by emailing support@socratesortho.com with a description of the problem, attaching screenshots or any additional information available along with the sites best contact details.
SOCRATES ORTHO IS UNDER NEW MANAGEMENT
A message from the founder of Socrates Ortho:
I am pleased to let you know that Socrates is under new management. 360 Knee Systems (360KS) will take over the ownership and management of the Socrates Orthopaedic Outcomes Software platform from mid April 2019.
I will stay involved during the transition phase for at least a year, so for the immediate future it will be business as usual if you need to get in touch with us.
For those of you who are using Socrates for more than knees do not be concerned by the Company name, the intent is to keep Socrates as a platform for all things Orthopaedic.
I have been working on Socrates for 16 years, which in software terms, is a very long time. During this time technology has moved along at an exponential rate with an increasing move to fully online systems. Under the ownership of 360KS, the plan is to develop a fully online system and future proof the platform.
I would like to thank you for your support, and especially those of you who have contributed to the clinical content of Socrates over the years. I am looking forward to working with the 360KS team to ensure that Socrates continues as the leader in orthopaedic research and outcomes software.
NEW KOOS and HOOS ARTHROPLASTY SCORES
Two new scores have been recently published and have been added to this version. The authors took 12 questions from the main versions of HOOS and KOOS and have concluded that “KOOS-12 and HOOS-12 was a reliable and valid alternative to KOOS/HOOS in TKR/THR patients with moderate to severe OA”.
PRINT AND SCAN MULTIPLE SCAN FORMS AT THE SAME TIME
It is now possible to print the scan forms in a group rather than one at a time, and also to scan multiple scores/forms from only one screen, rather than scanning from each individual score screen.
NJRR (Australia)
A new Intake survey has been added to the Hip, Knee and Shoulder arthroplasty modules. An export added to enable Socrates users to export the scores the NJRR are collecting, and to be sent to the NJRR.
